HOLOFICTION Screening & Talk at moving history – Festival des historischen Films Potsdam
CLIO 2026 Shortlist
November 6, 2026 – 7:00 PM
Filmmuseum Potsdam
As one of the six films on the shortlist for the CLIO Award 2026 – the prize for the best film on a historical subject – HOLOFICTION will be screened on Friday, November 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Filmmuseum Potsdam as part of moving history – Festival des historischen Films Potsdam. After the screening, director Michal Kosakowski will be in conversation with the audience in a film talk moderated by Freya Glomb (Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF).
The evening takes place just one day after HOLOFICTION opens in German cinemas on November 5, 2026. Film talks between filmmakers and audiences are at the heart of moving history, which presents the CLIO-nominated films in a series of film evenings at the Filmmuseum Potsdam and, in early 2027, at the Zeughauskino Berlin.

English translation:
“moving history – Festival of Historical Film is the only German festival presenting documentary and fiction films on historical subjects from current and past cinema and television production. It takes up the enduring popularity of media images of history. These not only shape our idea of the past, but also influence our perception of the present and our expectations of the future. It aims to offer a space in which filmmakers can enter into conversation with a broad audience. Film talks are therefore an essential part of the format. It takes place every year in a smaller or larger edition: always with the presentation of the CLIO, the prize for the best historical film of the year, and film evenings with the nominated and other films. It is held under the patronage of the Lord Mayor of the state capital Potsdam. Patron of the CLIO Award 2025 is the actress Jutta Wachowiak.”
