“Holofiction” – Film Screening and Discussion with Director Michal Kosakowski at Pädagogische Hochschule Ludwigsburg

The film HOLOFICTION is as bold as it is fascinating. Director Michal Kosakowski assembles, thematically and largely in chronological order, scenes from countless feature films about the Holocaust made between 1938 and today, creating a new film that, on a meta level, questions the very possibility of visually representing what Claude Lanzmann described as essentially unrepresentable. Accompanied by the evocative music of Paolo Marzocchi, this collage overwhelms the viewer while also prompting reflection.

The film will be screened on April 22, 2026, at 12:00 pm in the Literaturcafé, in the presence of the director, who will be available for questions afterward in a discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Tobias Arand.

Guests are welcome, but registration in advance is required at: arand@ph-ludwigsburg.de.
