HOLOFICTION Screening & Director Talk for Yom HaShoah
On the occasion of Yom HaShoah, a special screening of HOLOFICTION will take place in cooperation with Kino CasaBlanca. The film will be shown on April 14, 2026, at 7:00 pm, followed by a discussion with director Michal Kosakowski, who will attend in person.
In this experimental documentary, Kosakowski assembles archival images from over 3,000 fictional films about the Holocaust, creating a powerful reflection on recurring visual motifs and the cinematic representation of Nazi crimes. Inspired by a statement from Claude Lanzmann, the film critically examines the limits of depicting what may be considered the “unrepresentable.”
The event offers around 100 seats. Tickets (€5 / €2.50 for audiences under 25) can be reserved via the cinema’s website: https://www.casablanca-badsoden.de/events
