HOLOFICTION Screened at Babyn Yar, Kyiv - Ukraine

We are pleased to share a selection of photographs from the screening of HOLOFICTION at the Living Memory Exhibition Centre in Babyn Yar, Kyiv, which took place on 10 July 2026 as part of the RESEARCH SPACE summer programme.

Presented in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Ukraine, the event marked the opening of the Film Club programme. HOLOFICTION, which premiered at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival, invited audiences to reflect on how our collective memory of the Holocaust has been shaped by decades of cinematic representation.

The programme was opened by Fabian Mühlthaler, Director of the Goethe-Institut Ukraine, who emphasized that remembering events such as the Holocaust helps us confront the challenges of the present.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us for the screening and the inspiring discussion that followed. It was an honour to present HOLOFICTION at this important site of remembrance and dialogue.

Our sincere thanks go to the entire team at Babyn Yar and RESEARCH SPACE, especially Oleksiy Radynski, for making this screening possible.

Below are a few impressions from this special evening.
