Synopsis

The film is a newly-produced discussion between film scholar Prof. Dr. Marcus Stiglegger and the Polish filmmaker Michal Kosakowski. In the context of a science project on the culture of remembrance, the two of them commemorate the exceptional position that the feature film Come and See (1985) by Elem Klimov occupies in this context.

They remember their first encounter with the film and ponder how it has influenced awareness of war and what mark it has left in the history of anti-war film.
